The course at North Hempstead Country Club is a meticulously well-maintained, tree-lined track. Placing a premium on accuracy and position, its beautifully carved holes complement the astounding landscape. Pristine greens, demanding hazards and quality traps are just a few of the reasons why the membership never tires of challenging the layout

The original golf course of the North Hempstead Country Club encompassed more than 100 acres and was designed in 1916 by one of the most famous golf course architect in history, A.W. Tillinghast. In 1956, some changes to the course were necessary and required a redesign and reimagining of the 11th, 12th, 13th, 16th and 17th holes, which was accomplished with the help of famous course architect Robert Trent Jones. Then, in 1994, North Hempstead brought in golf course architect Gil Hanse, who developed a master plan that restored the course to the original Tillinghast design. This final work was completed in the spring of 1996.

Today, the course stands as a remarkable achievement of grace and vision, inviting countless sportmen and women to stand upon it time and again. It is, quite simply, a magnificent way to spend an afternoon.
